On 21 & 22 July 2012, Vanavil Foundation organized a Tamil writing workshop for aspiring writers from the LGBT community. The event was supported by Orinam, a support group for LGBT persons in and from Chennai; and the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association (TPWAA). This two-day event took place at the All India Catholic University Federation's (AICUF) space in Chennai.

Twenty seven people people participated in this workshop which was only the beginning of a several-months long writing process. Vanavil Foundation has planned to support the participants with mentorship provided by Tamil writers and to bring out the results of this process in book form. The two-day workshop was a mixture of talks, sharing, games and exercises

In 6th June 2012 Tamil Nadu progressive writers association pondychery organized meeting with vanavil group. In this meeting more than 15 writers, activitist and student from pondichery are paticipate.Vanavil members explain about the violence against transgender in Tamil Nadu .Tamil Nadu progressive writers association pondychery ask about the law for the transgender, foreign transgender, state and national recognition of transgenders.Vanavil explain for their work also.  Mr.Anbumany from Tamil Nadu progressive writers association organized lunch for our team.

vanavil Honor Transgender " Biological Mother "

Vanavil foundation honor priyababu's mother (Govindammal) in the kotthadai aravan festival .Priyababu is a one of the famous transgender activist in India. After 13 years priyababu's mother accepted priyababu  and also now she is living with priyababu. Priyababu’s mother now spoke in the media to accepted of transgender .She is doing lot of help to the vanavil foundation. So vanavil foundation honor priyababu’s mother .
